The Secret to Their Success
Coach Tyler’s approach is simple but powerful — combining structure, fun, and teamwork.
Each season, the fundraiser runs for about two weeks, with a strong kickoff and a high-energy finish. The team begins with a “phone blitz” event at a local coffee shop, where players gather before practice to reach out to their supporters.
Players use the Scoreboard app to upload their contacts, send personalized messages, and track donations in real time. During the live event, they can watch contributions roll in, building excitement and camaraderie as a team.
“At the coffee shop, my athletes are able to order a drink or some pastries and have fun making phone calls with the rest of the team. It’s a great team bonding event! I pull up the live feed on my computer so they can see donations come in. It motivates them — and they love seeing their names climb the leaderboard.”
After the live event, the team continues sharing their fundraiser link via text and social media. A little friendly competition keeps everyone engaged, with weekly progress updates and shoutouts for the top fundraisers.
